The United States Coast Guard provides all boaters with the rules and regulations that help keep us safe.

This is a great place to check on the weather before you venture out onto Lake Michigan. This site is semi-accurate in terms of temp, wind direction and speed, and the forecast for the next 12 hours. Gives you a gauge of what to wear on the boat.

Beneteau is the worlds largest producer of fine sailing yachts. They are based in France and have opened up a production facility in Marion, South Carolina. We have sailed many Beneteau models over the years and they just keep improving their quality and performance.

The Chicago Harbor system is the largest municipal harbor system in the United States. It’s a massive undertaking with over 3,000 slips and moorings for power and sailing yachts. Their website is filled with useful information.

The Chicago Yacht Club is Chicago’s oldest and most established yacht club with locations in Belmont and Monroe Harbors. CYC hosts the annual Chicago to Mackinac Race or “Mac Race” every year.

US Sailing is the official governing body for the sport of sailing in the United States. They “set the bar” when it come to safety, regulations and racing in sailing.

From Memorial Day through Labor Day, the sky above the lakefront will fill with a spectacular fireworks display of color and sound. It’s a wonderful show with the Chicago Skyline as the backdrop.
